Quarter-plate, hand-colored daguerreotype in leather case of a portrait painting of Reverend Henry Colman (1785-1849) by an unidentified artist. Enclosed in the case is a clipping regarding Colman's death in England in 1849, as well as a note in an unidentified hand that identifies Colman as the "Brother of Mrs. Leon de Chappolin." The photographer is unknown.
